Good game, Crusaders. I guess those changes I made aren’t gonna work. This new engine is kicking our butts.
4,4 does require some major changes from 4.3 & prev game versions. If any of you are struggling to figure it out, dont hesitate to pm me, there's also a lot of good posts and information in the gen forum and Beta Chat in MFN-1 about it. One thing is for sure, your QB is taking longer to select the throw on med/long passes, and pass blocking is not consistent no matter how good the OL is. According to seth, who is as knowledgeable about the game as anyone, a QBs intelligence attribute is now equal with passing accuracy. I havnt compared all my QBs/teams, but you can review it by the league stats and your own to determine the validity. A QB's performance is also affected by the strength of the receiver group, play selection, and pass protection. Your play selection on both offense and defense is a very important factor, you want to try and gameplan to where your best plays (avg per play) are being used the most, especially on defense. If you use a full playbook (40 offense & 30 defense) you will be at a disadvantage vs an opponent with a good roster who has concentrated the play selection to utilize their best plays a majority of the time. The other major change in 4.4 is obvious when you look at the league player stats for receiving.... the top 6 yardage producers are all TEs. The sack leader category is real interesting, RDE Mackey/Dallas has 22, the next best is LDE Dial/Snappers with 11. And now its a pretty good idea to have LBs with very good cover attributes, with all the passes being thrown to RBs & TEs.
