The Billings Marauders suffered a decisive 53-8 defeat to the visiting Falcons on October 10, concluding Week 6 of the 2066 regular season with another setback. Marauders head coach Alexander Dean's squad dropped to 2-4 for the season, now holding a 0-1 mark within the division, while the Falcons improved to 4-2 and maintained first place in the division standings.

The Falcons opened the scoring on the opening drive when Robert Castillo forced a fumble on Marauders quarterback Norman Calhoun's sack. Castillo recovered and returned it for a touchdown less than a minute into the game. The Falcons' Nathan Hosking missed the extra point attempt.

Falcons momentum continued as Hosking kicked a 39-yard field goal, setting the score at 9-0. Quarterback Chuck Hills connected with Roy Tucker on a 55-yard touchdown pass, followed by a successful extra point, putting the Falcons ahead 16-0. The Marauders faced early struggles on offense, including an interception of Calhoun’s pass by George Case.

A safety on a sack by Lee Peebles increased the Falcons' lead to 18-0. Peebles also forced a fumble leading to another touchdown recovery. Mark Galvan’s six-yard touchdown run and Paul Ruggerio's 42-yard touchdown reception extended the Falcons advantage to 41-0 by the second quarter.

Hosking added two more field goals, from 46 and 33 yards out, finishing with three successful attempts on the day. The Falcons' defense dominated, registering 24 sacks and forcing three fumbles while limiting the Marauders to only two completions on 28 passing attempts by Calhoun.

The Marauders managed their lone touchdown in the fourth quarter. Calhoun connected with wide receiver Carol Grace on an impressive 91-yard touchdown catch, followed by a successful two-point conversion via a pass to Shawn Hinderliter, breaking the shutout and concluding the scoring at 53-8.

Grace was a rare bright spot for the Marauders, finishing with 95 receiving yards and the team's sole touchdown reception. Fullback James Fournier caught passes for 60 yards. Defensively, Joseph Randolph forced a fumble but the Marauders were overwhelmed by the Falcons' pressure throughout the game.

The Marauders struggled on critical downs, converting just one of 11 third-down attempts and failing to score a touchdown despite multiple offensive possessions. The Falcons also controlled the ground game with 190 rushing yards and combined for three passing touchdowns.

This result marks the Marauders' second consecutive loss, while the Falcons extend their winning streak to two games, consolidating their position at the top of the division. Marauders coach Alexander Dean will look to regroup and address offensive inefficiencies and protecting the quarterback to halt the losing skid in the upcoming weeks.
