"Greetings sports fans from MFNN. I'm Ian Beymer along side of Chad Johnson to bring you the latest from the top analysts in football.
Well Ocho, here we are at the end of another exciting season in the Elite Football League, the only one that really matters. The playoffs are once again upon us, and with the wildcard round in the books, there is no one in this league that can honestly ignore the big one season turn-around success of the Parlor City Phantoms."
" You know you got that right. There's one player on this squad I've been watching all season, and the reason I requested to come on this show for the playoffs is that he reminds me of......well me.
*Video feed of Owen begins* You see this guy came out strong after being released by the Coos Bay Red Rocks. Lawrence Owen has tremendously helped out the overall impressive rookie QB Harry Knopp this season being able to adjust to bad throws. He opened a lot of people's eyes at the beginning of the season with plenty of TD grabs, but then he got injured. Well, what I really like about him is after he came back, still has the ability to break the quick feet down, and change directions. There are many top flight DBs who are much faster than Owen, but you see here last game of the season against the Witches... He bursts out of the snap to 8 yards and breaks those quick dancin feet down. The DB has no idea which direction he will go, then Lawrence just takes off on the seam route whiffing by the defender as if he was a ghost, or better yet a phantom. Now let's move forward a week to the wildcard game against the Lyon Kings. The Kings have arguably one of the best defensive back units in the league and they held Owen in check for most of the game. But you see here... late in the game that deep post route over the middle... Now this was beautiful excellent coverage by the Lyon DB, you can't cover any better than that... yet Owen somehow has the ability to come down with the catch. *Video feed of Owen ends*. This man has caught touchdown passes against some of the elite cornerbacks of the league. That is why he is one of the top chosen WRs for the Pro Bowl this season, but I really wish he had some better end zone celebrations. He was looking like one of those ballerina music boxes in the last home game against Salem"
"I think most of us out there agree Chad, but the Phantoms will have their hands full in the upcoming divisional round against a very powerful Rochester Americans team. With the very capable John Richardson at the helm, he is surrounded by a deadly RB core, an excellent group of WRs, and a great offensive line. Every team finds if very difficult to score on their defense. How good are their chances to come up with the win?"
"Well Ian, I really don't expect them to be able to go into that stadium against that caliber level team and win in a playoff situation. Hey but I have spent a little time with Owen and I will be at the game in Rochester. If he happens to score a TD, well I've taught him a thing or two and we should see something new and interesting in the end zone."
" Looking forward to it as we all are Ocho. Now we are sending it back to our studios were our analysts will be talking about the other exciting matchups in this weekend's divisional round playoffs."
