Man, this sounds like either a major bug or someone messing with the league.
Can understand you're take on this kicker10, however, it was the AI owner. This happens when a team is left open, the AI uses the "Renegotiation Wizard", which is not good at making roster decisions relative to player worth, same as the trade meter values. So, the "wizard" overpays and the roster goes into a salary cap problem, then the AI goes into "automatic", same as when you get the message if your salary cap has gone over, and cuts the highest paid players to get under the cap. Plus you have the rookies salary impact, which hikes the cap unless you void contracts on rooks that are not worth the pay.
So, there's only two choices that I can see. We let it go and play on as greyghost suggested. Or I temporarily take over Disney and reclaim the players either by having them cut by the teams that claimed them off the waiver wire or by trade.
There are only two high rated players involved, so its not as bad a "dump" as I first thought.
1. LB Joe Rhinehart, 8 yr vet, 97 AI default rating. picked up by the Riptide, greyghost
2. RG Richard Kim, 7 yr vet, 98 DR. picked up by the Burn, setherick
If I missed a high rater, please post it, dont think I did, there were a couple of borderliners, in the 70 default value range.
Like I stated before, I dont want to penalize anyone for being "heads up" and checking the waiver wire on a daily basis, thats a part of the game. What I dont like is the **** AI owner screwing up a team, same as the AI coach not calling a TO when you have the opposing team pinned down inside their own 5 with 1 1/2 minutes to go or less in the first half.
Overall, the damage to the team & league is not as much as I initially thought, so unless there's a strong opinion from others that has merit, I will let this go. Lets have a good season, cheers, gdb
