Alert - Diamond Dump

Dont know the how/why, but the Diamonds just dumped several of the teams starters. Im going to delay the next sim until we figure out how to correct this. Im pm-ing JDB for a recommendation on how best to fix it.

In the meantime, please do not make any waiver claims on the Disney Diamond players, I may have to take temporary ownership of the team to correct this BS. Any comments or suggestions are most welcome on this, my main concern is that the DD's will be trashed and make it that much harder to get a new owner for the team. Also, its bad enough to have an open team being run by the AI, even worse when their roster is extremely weak.

OK, so, somehow, I saw the waiver wire list prior to the waiver claims going in. So, now we have a bigger problem now. I will make a list of the players involved and we will need to figure out how to get them back on the Disney team, this sucks.

Man, this sounds like either a major bug or someone messing with the league.

This is what happens when a team blows the cap limit in FA.

Did a user add all the FAs or was that done by the AI too?

I've seen this in a couple leagues now. I'm guessing someone went crazy in free agency, dumped the team, and this is the AI trying to get below the cap.?

Thank you to those who have posted here so far, as the league admin Im in a hard spot. I dont want to penalize anyone for taking advantage of the situation, you had to put in a waiver claim, like anyone else, and they were available to anyone who was paying attention. On the other hand, a team got gutted, they now have 47 on the Diamonds roster. Whether it was the AI trying to get the salary cap down or not, which is what it looks like, as their "Room under cap" is 106k, that would not have happened with an experienced owner, you cut players with lower AI default ratings, key atts, and trade values that have high salaries, not a high first round draftee.

So, here's where we go from here. Its up to the majority, do you want to let this ride or not, its the same as an unbalanced trade IMO. At this point, I really dont care either way, I was shocked to see it in the first place. Most of us with MFN experience know to leave as little as possible to the AI, and it really did damage on this one. Do you want to correct it or not, if not, post here and let me know, Ive delayed the next sim for a couple of days to get the feedback. cheers

I am fairly new to this league, but have been playing MFN awhile. I normally take on rebuild projects when I pick my teams, so I have seen some crazy things the AI does. I think anyone that has been playing MFN knows it happens. It is just part of our world. I will go with what the majority wants, but I think we should just let it ride and play on. I think the alternative would be to probably roll the league back which would shut it down for a few days if I am not mistaken.

That would totally depend on how easy the fix is. I'd hate for a team to be gutted like this one has. It makes it more difficult for the new GM. If we could get one at all. I would prefer the fix since this is a private league, but understand if it is not.

If you roll back the clock, the team still needs to be gutted. Maybe they get to keep the star QB and first-round pick, but drastic moves are in order. Can you find someone to take on such a project? Are players with cap space willing to ship draft picks for high-priced guys to help the team out?
