Game 1 of the season found the Bulldogs on the road to Arkansas to play the Twisters! A very
close game going to the home team 13 - 6! We don't think our young team was 100% ready
for the game and that one is on the coaches! QB Les Gould 10 for 32 162 yds 1TD 1 INT,
RB Jon Leo 66 rushing yds,WR Robert Swan only 2 catches for 24 yds, DT Robert Wolfgram a
big game 10 tackles 2 sacks 7 hurries! Head coach Herbert(Gonzo)Gonzalez "These guys are
young and will get better as the season goes on. We will learn from this game and get ready for
the next one at home!"

Game 2 was the Bennington Bulldogs home opener with Parlor City Phantoms at Mad Dog
Stadium in Salina,Kansas! The Phantoms outscored the Bulldogs in the 1st Qtr 10-7, in Qtr 2
rookie RB Jon Leo showed why he was the #1 pick rushing 14 yards for a TD and agin 5 yards
for a TD and topped the Qtr off with a 22 yard catch for another TD! QB Les Gould had a nice
game 15 of 29 for 295 yds 2 TD's, rookie WR Robert Swan 4 catches for 126 yds 1 TD,WR
Clarence Wright 6 rec for 110 yds, Wendell Palacios had a kick off return for 103 yd TD! Our
DT's played big agin, Tim Ward 5 tackles 3 sacks and Robert Wolfgram 5 tackles 1 sack!
The Bulldogs win at home 41-20!
