256lb killer sacker at DT < He didn't max it out with like a DB in attack mode.
I've just had it with his 2 garbage defensive plays overall and him being rewarded with 19-0 seasons and benefiting within each singular game as he runs the plays over and over....
we go more and more negative. You'll come out of a game at -50 through -75% in offensive familiarity for the 46 Heavy Seth play and the Man OLB Flat Zone.
The rest of us draft our asses off, sit down and come up with deep game plans and this guy goes...oh let me go into 2 defensive formations - over-ride it to the max and do nothing else.
On one hand, you look for advantages, Ive done it and Ive also unintentionally had games where defense was one or two plays, usually due to a conflict between a rule and defense setting. On the average, I have 16-19 defensive plays active. In the game vs 43's Geechees, the 43 Crash Right was used 25 times/1.4 (very good!). And surprisingly next was the GL 3 Deep Man with 15 calls and a 0.7 avg. (jeez!, how'd I lose? lol). Overall, my 2 Deep defenses got hurt the worst, Cover 2 - 8/6.9, 2 Deep Under - 8/9.3, and 2 Deep Man - 7/4.9, so that was the weakspot in the gameplan defensively. On offense, the HB Flare Medium got shut down, same for PA FB Flat and SE Post. The FL Hitch was good, 8/11.5, 221-TE Deep Corner, 4/21.4, and the All Go - 8/8.2. So, basically, the 43 Flat & 46 Heavy scheme can be dealt with using a narrow play call scheme, but it's not getting the game closer to RL or simulation. His GL defenses were auto'd by the 221 and 122, so that would be another angle if I had to play him again and he was still using the same defense.
HB Flare Medium got shut down - I noticed this being sack prone in Beta's 4.6 sack uptick.
You taught me how to deal with the 2-2-1. One game you Lead Tossed me for like 20 straight plays and I made a rule in your honor. :)
His ears are burning so I won't detail but Setherick remarked during a game in USFL about a play that got him vs. the 46 Heavy 2 Deep. I've got it on some teams but yeah you can shove the play up the guy's *** if you hone in and are mad enough.
For the record for the discussion, this was 4343's message to me when he informed me he wouldn't be back for another season:
"I will not register for another season with Geechee. I am cutting down on teams because I don´t have the time anymore. I totally missed that I used a DE exploit in this league this season, because I never check the game stats.Sorry for that."
The "DE exploit" doesn't mean anything to me. 255 lbs vs. 275 lbs. If he was No Holds Barring it (a league with no restraints) and CB'ing 95 acceleration torpedoed at the QB - yes.
It's pull up any of his leagues, it's the 2-play defense. No creativity or originality and the structure allows it to Hulk him up - feed me more while diminishing the opposition with each play usage. It's just terrible.

That's what I don't get - JDB knew about this for over a year now, and it got hot patched (or was it just in the latest code update - don't remember that far back). How has this not been fixed yet? If you want to hit the same play over and over, you should be hemoraging yards + points.
JDB and the Beta testers wanted to make zone defense relevant and this is the fall-out. It's not supposed to be utilized in this way. It's supposed to just be used regularly. I believe that whole negative familiarity system is to make the play viable or plays as in plural for zone defense.
Going back zone was never used or could be used. Man 2 Man and Blitzes were the only way to run an effective defense.
So, yeah, I think JDB dove in there hard and finagled around with it so a Man OLB Flat Zone could emerge and others to boost defense.
It was never intended for someone to say aha I'll run the flat zone 40x in 1 game because I'm too lazy to try and figure out how to play the game right and compete with the tough GMs out there.
Update: over-use penalty = none. In fact, it works opposite. The more he runs the play, the more your offensive familiarity to the MAN OLB Flat Zone goes negative. I'll come out of games -50%+ against it.

...and check this out. Initially, word was attempted to be spread on it as 'oh, it's a display issue' basically pay 'no attention to the man behind the curtain.'
