Salem rallies from a 19-0 halftime deficit to the Red Rocks and grabs the title in the final 2 minutes of the contest. What a championship tilt guys! Great show and great seasons by both owners (and really all the way around this season with all the close games that took place around the league week-in and week-out...probably one of the most fun seasons I can recall in recent memory). Hope to see you all back here in 2037!
...and I call dibs on the rights to the recording of the Witches halftime speech!
Well, the 2038 season for the Elite has got its first two weeks in, and it looks like the same "usual suspects" will be contending for the title, led by last years Conference Champs, Crazy Razor's Salem Witches and loanblood's Brooklyn Bombers. Most important, we have a full slate of team owners now, and thanks to the new owners who joined in the off season. Lets see if we can get some "new blood" into the playoffs this season, good luck all.
Playoffs begin! 2 teams won 14 games this season in the Elite FL, they are both in the Parcells division, and it was not clear how the tie-breaker was decided, but the Canton Crush will play the WC game vs the Columbus City Assassins while the Winterhood Warriors benefit from the bye and healing period. The other team getting a bye is the Coos Bay Red Rocks, 13 games won and Landry Division winners.
In the other Stripes Conference WC playoff game, the "reborn" New Jersey Crusaders will take on the Knoll Division winning Brooklyn Bombers.
In the Stars Conference, the 13 win Parlor City Phantoms will take on the Brown Division winning Rochester Americans who won 10 games. The other WC game has the Salem Witches, Shula Division champions with 13 wins facing the 11 win Natchitoches Snappers.
The winners of the Stars Conference WC games will face the bye teams, the Toronto Spartans and the Atlantic City Golden Sharks. both with 13 wins this season.
