Then with that irritation I proceeded to write something stupid..... As I thought more....it quickly became obvious that I was simply bitching about the mouth because we lost. No worries, we've all been bitten by the frustration from time-to-time. Keep playing like you are and there's going to be a lot more Ws and a lot fewer Ls in the future to get bothered by!

Many teams give up when they get blown out in the first half, but your squad is different. The last time we scored was in the second quarter. Your defense did tighten up significantly and had me quirking an eyebrow back and fourth between the clock and your score. I am surprised that we kept you out of the end zone. I don't quite understand the settings in the MISC game planning. No matter what I set it at, it seems that my coach will still call mostly run plays if I am winning in the 4th quarter. I do love draining the clock a bit when in this situation, but not to the extent that it becomes a run up the middle three and out most of the time. Any advice on this? If you're up 14, it will try for the last four minutes. You were up by 23, so a setting of 2 would mean running slow down offense for about 6:20. A setting of 5 would have covered the entire 4th quarter. Your "problem" with this setting is too much success. Stop running up the over. :) And yes, set rules. If you're up less than 10, slow down can be a bad idea. Once you're at that point, throwing in an occasional 3-1 PA pass (for example) with a rule can put the game out of reach.
