Re: Performance(s) of Interest from last season

Of the defensive players that had more than 100 passes thrown at them last season ....

MLB Dave Madsen - Salem, 33.3% catch allowed, 2 ints, 31 knockdowns. Is now #2 MLB.

FS Albert Bonham - Toronto, 34.9% ca, 4 ints, 20 kds.

Both were 8 yr vets last season. They were the only two players defending more than 100 passes to break the 40% ca barrier. Would be nice if we had a stat for yards allowed per catch, but we dont. That would really allow us to evaluate pass coverage performance more effectively. Allowing a 2 yd catch is a whole lot different than allowing a 10 yd or more catch, obviously.

All Pro Performances in Secondary from last season, minimum 40 passes thrown at ........

CB1 ....... Sonny Bing, Dragons 42% CA, 10 ints, 30 kds.

CB2 ...... Duane Bundy, Thunder 43.8%, 7 ints, 17 kds.

CB3 ..... Julian Beard, Wampas 38.1%, 9 ints, 18 kds, 106 tackles, most by a CB.

SS ..... John Lennon, Crusaders 43.8%, 6 ints, 15 kds, 2 TDs

FS .... Joe Foley, Wallabies, 42.5%, 6 ints, 9 kds, Ai rating of 63 !! One of those "exceptions"

Top Pass Coverage Performances by LBs

Greg Kemmerer, SLB, Dragons, 43.6%, 10 ints (tied with Bing for most), 29 kds

Thomas Wise, WLB, Crush, 45.7%, 9 ints, 20 kds

James Kennedy, MLB, Crusaders 37.5%, 5 ints, 7kds (only 40 passes thrown at, currently MLB2)

Willard Jules, MLB, Thunder 47.6%, 5 ints, 15 kds

Daniel Rice, SLB, Witches 40.4%, 5 ints, 23 kds

James Pell, MLB, Burn, outstanding 28.7% CA on 80 TA's!! 3 ints, 20 kds currently MLB2 ! Now on Thunder, was not resigned after the 1 yr FA contract.

FS is one of a couple positions I find where my personaly rankings vastly differ from the default eval values. For me, Foley ranks at a 77 as a FS (vs. his default of 63), so I was quite happy when he accepted our offer to sign.

Anyone got a low rated RB who beats the Dragons William Frazier? He's RB2 on the depth chart, with a trade value of a whopping 2. His Ai default value is 39!! In 3 seasons with the Dragons he has a career stat line of 309 attempts, 1269 yds, 4.1 apc, 10 TDs.
