Ownership of the Arkansas Twisters has announced that they have packed up their things in Little Rock and relocated the franchise to Melbourne, Florida, where they have been renamed the Windjammers. Ownership decided to make the move because of a luxurious open-air stadium that seats 72,500 and was waiting for a tenant, named after local Brevard County football legend Bubba McDowell. The Windjammers are in the midst of a major rebuild and look to begin ascending the EFL standings after missing the playoffs the last six seasons. Looking to spearhead the climb is 2033's top pick, Arizona State cornerback Ray McDermott. "I am appreciative of being the first pick of the Windjammers era," McDermott said. "I'm going to bring it every single game and help lead our franchise back into the playoffs. Go 'Jammers!!" With that kind of attitude, Windjammers fans will be rocking Bubba McDowell Stadium (aka the Bubba Mac) while cheering on their new team. It's a new season... in a new city... with a new stadium... and a new name. Let the Windjammers era begin...
