GdB's Reg Season Review

Had a little time to kill, nursin the tail end of a bad cold, so thought I would look over the team season records and player stats and see what stood out to me. To start, just going down the league in order and by conference:

Halas Division ...... if anyone does not know about George Halas, would suggest you take a minute and read his bio.

"Nuggs" has done a great job since taking over the Spartans 8 seasons ago when they were at the rock bottom of the league. They racked up their 4th straight Division champ and barely lost 15-13 in the WC game. Another good example of a team to look at as far as roster makeup and construction and play review when you scout them.

"Money" has the Lyons nippin at the heels of the Spartans, 1 game back this season. ricmoney is a longtime owner with 3 yrs MFN exp, one of the "vets" of the EFL.

casualcnote is one of my fav "handles" in MFN, and another 3 yr vet. Expect to see Reno make some progress in the off and next season.

3 teams went O-fer this season and need to have a strong off season for roster improvement, both in FA's and draft choices. Wolfpack has his work cut out for him to bring the Wampas back to their glory days that they had under kicker10bog.

Brown Division

Chrisbronexts Americans ran away with the division this season, their 5th Div title in a row. Chris is another 3 yr MFN veteran and his experience & game knowledge shows.

Nice improvement for cyclone's Snappers, winning 3 more games than previously. One or two good additions in the off season and they should be in the hunt and snappin away.

Hawaii has a new owner, welcome RoyceR! jlyman left the team both in good shape and improved by 3 wins this season.

Tarq's Event had a tough season after winning 12 games previously. It's going to be a crucial off season for them to get back into contention. For some reason, which I will leave to Tarq to explain, his leading receiver, Jacob Parish, is a LG. Would highly recommend that he be re-positioned back to WR and get the speed back, lol, put him on serious diet.

Shula Division

Phaldun's Phantoms are heading back to their 3rd straight LC and a 3 peat chance. Another great season and am sure will continue to be the ones to beat in the Shula division.

Crazy's Witches have been perennial contenders, with 2 LCs on their belt. Crazy is another 3 yr MFN vet, this league is loaded with experience.

And, here come the Bulldogs, under trslick, yep... another long time MFN veteran. They improved from 3 wins to 6 wins this season.

Pdoug's Twisters were underachievers this season, but one of their 4 wins came against the Phantoms late in the season. They have some good players on their roster, and should be improved going into next season.

Walsh Division

Garrok's Talons had the best reg season record in the league this season at 15-1. The Talons have been contenders throughout their time in the league, twice winning the LC.

Ryan improved the Dacs by a win this season, getting to the .500 mark with 8 wins.

benr's Burn will need to make a few changes and additions in the off season to get in the hunt for the division.

wolfie needs a name for his Tennessee team! I think the "Bootleggers" was the most popular one so far, the team logo is one of the best in all of MFN. Now they need their name and a good off season to improve the roster.

OK, that does it for the Stars Conference, will do the Stripes later. cheers!!

I wrote up the Stripes review only to accidentally delete it when right at the finish, man!!!

So, will keep it brief, the usual suspects, Dragons, Crusaders, Geechee, Wild, & Crush, won their respective divisions and so on. The Assassins were right there, 1/2 game behind the Geechee and knocked out the Crusaders in the WC game 15-13. The Gibbs Division had the tightest race of all, with all four teams winning 9+ games. Most improved were ctiger's Coyotes, picking up 5 more wins than the previous season. Icecold is another MFN GM with 3 years exp, and has the Riptide back in the hunt.
