The roster rules for the Elite League purpose is to create a more realistic simulation to NFL rosters. The rules also prevent what is known as the "speed exploit" in MFN, gaining an advantage by having a fast CB at DE is one example of how that it done.

1. All teams should have starters with players listed at the following positions and as close to default weight for position as possible. Minimum weight caps are listed in parentheses. Also, recommended minimum number to have on your roster is included.

QB 2
RB1, RB2 (190)
FB1 1
WR 5
TE1, TE2 (220) 3
OL 9 OL get injured more than other positions.

DE1, DE2 (240) 4
DT1, DT2 (260) 3
SLB 1
MLB 1
WLB 1 total minimum number of LBs recommended is 5
CB 6
SS 1
FS 1

2. No WRs at running back with the exception of the flex rule below.
3. No LBs or DBs at DE, you should carry at least 4 DEs on your roster, would advise 5 minimum.
4. DE can back up DT, but teams should must carry the minimum minimum number of starters at weight.
5. Backup LBs can all be WLBs as long as you have and MLB and SLB starter.
6. Backup DBs can all be CBs as long as you have an SS and FS starter.

Flex Rules

1. WRs can be substituted for a running back for the following formations: 104 all plays, 113 Shotgun, 203 Shotgun, 203 Split Backs. The reason why is that the running plays out of these formations are fairly limited and the RB1 often gets targeted as a top target in these formations. This means that WRs will some times end up with running yards, but these should be fairly inconsequential.

2.You should have 3 TEs on your roster, you can also have a FB play at TE3.
