Last year of Contract?

Quick question. I have a message saying I have players in their final year of contract, but I go look......and I have several players with 2 years left, but I cannot find one player on my team with only 1 year left. What is going on? Is it a type of glitch that means you must re-sign players with 2 years left? I really dont want to lose a few of my players with 2 years left. Any suggestions to why I am not seeing players with one year left, but I'm still getting the contradiction message?

Thank you for your time,
Ian

One more question on this. So I have three players I want to keep, but only have about 8 mill in cap left. Right after the championship game.... during the end of the season cycle...... Are players in their last year of contract still on your team to negotiate without other teams...and... do we get refreshed on our cap for next season so we can sign away on without fear of negative balance causing the AI to rease my best player?

You have to remain under the salary cap when signing players, even during the last cycle. This was a loophole that was closed several seasons ago.

The cap goes up 5 percent each season. If you have some players who retire or walk away via free agency, that will give you a little more wiggle room when the next season begins.

Extra cap at the end of the season does not roll over and stack does it?
